My story
Hi, I’m Neelima.
I’m the maker behind Crushies. Every one starts the same way, with a single loop of yarn. Round by round it grows into a little body, then it gets a face, a personality, and a name. I still grin every time one comes off the hook.
A lot of my ideas come from Atlanta itself: murals around every corner, festival weekends, porch-sitting neighbors, dogs in bandanas, and somebody always having the best day of their week. I want every Crushie to carry a little of that joy home with you.
Why Crushies? Crochet plus plushies. Also, you will probably get a crush on one.
What goes into every Crushie
- Tight, even stitches, so the stuffing stays put squeeze after squeeze.
- Soft yarn picked for hugging, in colors that make people smile.
- Faces set by hand, so no two Crushies come out quite the same.
